I just installed windows 10 on my laptop, upgrading from windows 7, and now the USB 3.0 ports on the computer dont work. In device manager there is a yellow hazard sign next to 'USB xhci compliant host controller'.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers but nothing helps. Follow the below steps. First of all, Press Windows logo + R from keyboard. It will open RUN. Now type devmgmt.msc and press Enter to open Device Manager. You will see all the driver list of your PC. Expand USB Host Controller.
Hey everyone,
Been having an issue in the past few weeks, where my USB 3.0 stopped working. It was working for the first few months under Windows 10, but after an update, it stopped.
I can still use USB 2.0 fine, but anytime I plug in something 3.0, it doesn't get recognized. In device manager, i get 2 different errors
Unknown USB Device: Device Descriptor Request Failed Unknown USB Device: Set Address Failed

I've tried updating drivers, reinstalling, uninstalling, etc. To no avail.
